It seems that a big novelty is coming from Hinckley, a new version of the Rocket 3, the motorcycle that already has the world’s largest three-cylinder engine (2,500cc), the highest torque ever recorded (221Nm), and a power that until now was limited to 167hp.

In recent months, we have seen a great dynamism from the British brand in different market segments, such as the single-cylinder Scrambler and Speed 400, the new Daytona 660, the technical and aesthetic update of the Tiger 900, and last but not least, also the first Triumph-signed motocross bike, the TF 250X.

Clearly, someone didn’t think this was enough, so new certification data has been registered in Switzerland indicating that the Storm version of the Rocket 3 will be even more energetic to offer more excitement to future owners of this special motorcycle.

Nothing is official, but apparently there will be two Rocket 3 Storm models, the GT and the R, both of which will maintain the incredible 2,458cc three-cylinder engine, but in these versions, the power will be close to 180hp instead of the current 167hp, and the torque will increase from 221 to 225Nm. The technical update of the engine may involve the use of titanium valves capable of providing more engine rotations, and there are certainly reasons to believe that there will be more updates in the 2019 version. We don’t know when this Super Rocket 3 version will arrive, but meanwhile, the homologation chips have also arrived in Australia, so the project continues discreetly advancing.
