To the attack. Former pilot Ben Spies did not hide his dissatisfaction and criticized the latest models of motorcycles that have been prepared to compete in the MotoGP World Championship.

‘It would be really nice if MotoGP motorcycles started to look more like motorcycles and less like airplanes. Let the riders make the difference again, MotoGP. Let the manufacturers waste less money that cannot be applied to speeds on the streets,’ wrote the American on his profile on the X social network.

It would be really sweet if MotoGP bikes started to look more like bikes less like planes. Cmon @MotoGP, let the riders make the difference again. Let manufacturers waste less money that cannot apply to street speeds.

A user raised the question of why the World Superbike Championship is still considered secondary despite having good races and less fanfare. And Spies replied: ‘More fun and more power for the rider? That’s WorldSBK, not MotoGP‘.

I don’t get it. @WorldSBK has no traction control, shape shifting, and aero and great racing. Why is it still the minor league? And all the riders strive to MotoGP. Is it just for the money? You were there Ben, thoughts?

Spies was part of the MotoGP circuit for six seasons and retired at the age of 29 due to a series of shoulder injuries.
