Pedro Acosta is having a very promising start to the season and entry into MotoGP, judging by the results he has achieved in the tests, so it is not surprising that the compliments keep coming, even from the Spanish number one rival – Augusto Fernández – who had no problem saying that… he has already copied the rookie.
Fernández is in his second year in MotoGP but has been (very) attentive to his teammate and after saying that he relied on his « help » to achieve a fast time in Sepang, he continued to praise the #31 and admitted that… he copied him.
‘Thanks to the fact that he is fast, I was able to copy things. And the electronics, for example, that we were also lost with, I copied it. If I’m so lost, I will wake up and he will help me. But, of course, we have to beat him,’ said the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 Spanish rider after the end of the tests, without forgetting that he already has one more year of experience than the Spanish rookie and is indeed an opponent he really wants to beat:
– It’s my second year and his first, and I have to beat him and that affects me, but I want to beat him.
