In Japan, Yamaha has launched an update to one of its most popular scooters, the Vino. The Yamaha Vino has been around since 2004 and, since then, the small scooter hasn’t changed much, with Yamaha maintaining its simplistic and charming style while updating it to comply with modern performance and emissions standards. For the year 2024, the Vino is back with Yamaha applying a fresh coat of paint.

For 2024, the Vino is being sold in three additional colors exclusive to Japan – Fighting Red, Matte Jeans Blue Metallic, and Puco Blue. Yamaha claims that each of these colors aims to enhance the fun and charming nature of the Vino. The new Fighting Red color is considered a retro-inspired scooter and comes with black details on the seat and footrests. Meanwhile, the Matte Jeans Blue Metallic color adds a sporty touch to the scooter, with gray details that add a touch of contrast. Lastly, the Puco Blue color accentuates the casual style of the scooter, making it a vehicle for everyday use and lifestyle.

In addition to its colors, the design of the Yamaha Vino was conceived to incorporate both lifestyle and practicality. Its retro style instantly sets it apart from normal scooters. However, in terms of amenities, it impresses with its functionality and luggage-carrying capacity. To start, there is a large storage compartment and a hanger for hanging a bag in the front area of the bike. In the front, the glove compartment has a charging port so you can charge your devices while traveling. The Vino also features a rear wheel lock and a key cylinder shutter to prevent theft. Last but not least, its instrument panel is minimalist, displaying the time, fuel level, speed, and maintenance interval.

In terms of performance, the Vino is equipped with a compact and powerful engine – a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 50 cc single-cylinder SOHC engine. Yamaha claims an impressive fuel economy of 58.4 kilometers per liter, meaning the 4.5-liter fuel tank allows for great range.
